Culinary ProgramsThe Art Institute of Jacksonville is focused on providing you with quality education for the creative profession of your choice. To get the most out of your art and design education, we ask that you dedicate yourself to the school and your studies, and assume responsibility by getting involved in all that we have to offer.

Culinary Programs Offered:

Culinary Arts
In the Culinary Arts program, you’ll have an opportunity to gain practical experience in the kitchen while studying the business of cost control, sanitation and safety, menu and beverage management, nutrition, and kitchen management. You’ll have an opportunity to learn to produce food quickly and in quantity while working with others. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as line cook and pantry cook (garde manger).

Culinary Arts – Skills
In the Culinary Skills program, you’ll gain practical knowledge of the techniques required to succeed in culinary arts. From choosing the correct knife to the proper use of specialized kitchen equipment, you’ll achieve insight and valuable knowledge from experienced culinary professionals. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as line cook and pantry cook (garde manger).

Culinary Management
In the Culinary Management program, you’ll have an opportunity to focus on communications, training, leadership, management, accounting, marketing, financial management, and employee relations. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as restaurant manager or catering manager in restaurants, hospitals, cruise ships, and banquet facilities.
